International Language Competition Winners!

IES Lund students rose to the challenge at this year’s International Language Competition, with their hard work and dedication securing two well earned trophies.

Across Sweden, hundreds of schools and around 30,000 students vie for the prestige of winning the International Language Competition in Swedish, English, German, French, and Spanish.

After successfully making it through to the National Finals, IES Lund sent three teams—Swedish, German and English—to compete in Malmö. 

Following a nail biting finale that tested grammar, comprehension, and trivia, IES Lund emerged victorious, winning 1st place in Swedish and 3rd Place in German.

German: Alexander Brunkhorst-Kvarnström & Oscar Johnson-Cadwell 

English: Alexander Brunkhorst-Kvarnströ & Noam Menkus  (who came 5th)
