IES Kungsbacka Earns Prestigious Academic Achievement Award
We are immensely proud to share a truly special milestone for our entire school community. At this year’s annual IES Award Ceremony at HQ, IES Kungsbacka was officially honored with the IES Academic Achievement Award—one of the highest recognitions within our organisation.
This award celebrates the exceptional academic performance of our school, acknowledging our outstanding overall results, strong correlation between Year 9 National Test scores and final grades, high gymnasium eligibility rates, and stellar IES quality metrics. Making this recognition even more extraordinary: this is the first time in IES history that the Academic Achievement Award has been given to a school in the South Region.
A Celebration of Daily Excellence
While the award highlights numbers and statistics, it truly reflects the dedication present in our classrooms and corridors every single day:
-
Dedicated Educators: Teachers who care deeply about instructional quality and mentorship.
-
Supportive Staff: Team members who consistently go above and beyond for our community.
-
Ambitious Students: Learners who show up, work hard, and continually challenge themselves.
-
Engaged Families: Guardians who actively support our mission and trust us with their children’s education.
This honor is the culmination of years spent building a culture anchored in high expectations, academic ambition, structure, safety, and continuous improvement. It firmly establishes IES Kungsbacka as one of the strongest-performing schools within IES Sweden.
Looking Ahead, While we take a moment to celebrate this shared victory—which belongs to the entire IES Kungsbacka community, past and present—our journey does not stop here. Success fuels our motivation to keep refining our work. Our three key focus areas remain at the heart of our strategy this year, ensuring we provide an even stronger, high-quality education for our students moving forward.
Congratulations to everyone who helped make this historic recognition possible!
