Small Bricks, Big Missions for Students at IES Jönköping

Students at IES Jönköping recently tackled a complex Lego Technic challenge at Moondust school-age educare. The project focused on developing grit, precision, and collaboration.

Philip and Connor from Moondust school-age educare show the impressive results of their Lego Technic mission - a project that required both grit and great teamwork.

At Internationella Engelska Skolan Jönköping, learning continues long after the final bell rings. Students Philip and Connor, along with their classmate at Moondust school-age educare, recently took on a demanding mission: constructing a sophisticated spaceship using Lego Technic.

This initiative is a practical example of the IES model, where we work equally hard with what happens inside and outside the classroom to create a great school culture. By engaging in this complex build, the students moved beyond simple play to develop essential life skills.

The project highlighted several key areas of growth:

  • Grit: The students demonstrated a strong fighting spirit and the courage to challenge themselves, refusing to give up when the assembly became difficult.
  • Collaboration: To succeed, the team had to communicate effectively and solve technical problems together.
  • Precision: The mission required reading complex instructions carefully, proving that even the smallest details are vital for the final function.

By fostering an environment that values effort and perseverance, IES Jönköping helps students reach their full potential. We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our students in completing this mission!
