Welcome back to a new term at IES Johanneberg!

Welcome back to a new term at IES Johanneberg! I hope you have all had a restful and enjoyable holiday break and are returning refreshed and ready for the exciting months ahead.

As we begin the Spring term, I would like to highlight some important dates and events to keep in mind:

National Tests – Year 6 and Year 9

The National Tests will take place during the Spring term for students in Year 6 and Year 9. These tests are crucial in assessing student progress and providing valuable insights into their learning journey. Therefore, students in these year groups will not be granted leave of absence during this period. We appreciate your support in ensuring students attend all scheduled test dates.

Student Development Talks – January 22nd

On January 22nd, we will hold our Student Development Talks. These conversations provide an important opportunity for students, mentors, and guardians to discuss progress and set goals for the remainder of the school year. Please make sure to log in to Schoolsoft and book a time slot that suits your schedule.

Winter Sports Day – January 28th

We are excited to offer our annual Winter Sports Day on January 28th! This event will give students the chance to participate in a variety of fun winter sports activities, promoting physical health, teamwork, and school spirit. More details will be shared closer to the event.

Sports Break – Week 7 (February 12th-16th)

During Sports Break (Week 7), IESJ will offer lovskola (study school) for students in Year 8 and Year 9 who are at risk of not meeting academic expectations. This additional support is designed to help students catch up on their studies and prepare for a successful term.

Easter Break – Week 16 (April 15th-19th)

The Easter break will take place during Week 16. Once again, we will offer lovskola during this week for students needing extra academic support.

End-of-Year Ceremony – June 10th

We are already looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students at the End-of-Year Ceremony at Burgården on June 10th. This will be a wonderful opportunity to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of our students throughout the year.
