Throughout the years, many great and inspirational staff have led to the success of IES Johanneberg and, having been part of the start of IES Johanneberg back in August 2013, I feel very proud to now be taking on the Principal responsibility of the school. Every day I meet most of the students on their way into school and will continue to do so since I feel that this gives me the opportunity to check in on each and every one of them. The collection of mobile phones at this contact point each morning ensures that our students are able to focus their attention in the right direction upon entering the building - their studies.
This academic year has started strong. The record numbers for lovskolan during höstlov has been inspiring, our students want to do well! To ensure educational success we must ensure that they remain motivated and stimulated in school. Many students can become stressed when facing academic challenges and so we must continue to encourage them to talk and seek support and guidance when needed. Collaboration between school and home continues to be the foundation to educational success and our increased focus on academic mentorship helps to structure and guide this process. Together we make things happen - students, guardians and staff.
Finally please make sure you stay in close contact with your child's mentor and remember that any questions or concerns can always be brought up during your monthly phone call from the mentor. If you need to contact the school leadership team then you are welcome to contact me.
