Dear Parents and Guardians in IES Järfälla 25/26,

Welcome back to a new academic year!

Our students have been back in the building just over a week, students are getting to know their new classes and teachers, and getting used to thinking and learning again after their summer break. It is great to have them back in the building.

Our staff are planning lessons, educational trips, activities, fun days, sporting events, clubs… we want this to be a year of learning and enjoying. Our first events are:

• 26/8  “Tokig tisdag” - students should wear house colours:

• • 5A:a, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A - AIR = Purple

  • 5A:b, 6B, 7B, 8B, 9B - WATER = Blue

  • 5B:a, 6C, 7C, 8C, 9C - FIRE = Red

  • 5B:b, 6D, 7D, 8D, 9D - EARTH  = Green

• 27/8 Parents Evening 17:30.

  • Year 5, 6- meet in the aula first, then go down to mentor rooms to meet mentors

• • Year 7, 8 - meet mentors in mentor rooms only. 

  • Year 9 - meet in mentor rooms first, then come to the aula for the presentation from leadership

• 28/8 and 3/9 Year 8 trip to the Opera

• 11/9  16:30 - 18:30 Back to School Festival

• • Our annual kick- off for students and guardians, organised by the PTA and the school, with hot dogs, competitions, baked goods, femkamp, loppis, plant selling (if you have any cuttings/young plants/prizes please donate.) There may be some musical performances too! 

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, your child’s mentor is your first point of contact. After that you can contact Jonas Lindahl Assistant Principal for years 5-6, or Sofia Falk Assistant Principal for years 7- 9. 

We look forward to another year of student learning and developing, both inside and outside the classroom!
