Vårlunken 2025
Yesterday, students and staff braved the elements for Vårlunken, our annual spring Sports Day. While we had hoped for clear skies and sunshine, nature had other plans, greeting us instead with cold winds and steady rain. But the weather did little to dampen the spirit of the day—student participation remained high, and enthusiasm ran just as strong as in years past.
Vårlunken, one of our three Sports Days each year, took place in the beautiful natural surroundings of Järva Fältet. The event was organized by the P.E. department and offered students the chance to complete a Swedish Mile, 10 kilometers, either by walking or running. Students could choose to participate competitively, with race numbers and official timing, or non-competitively for the sake of fitness and fun.
A standout moment from the day came from Hugo in Year 8, who set a new school record by completing the 10 km course in an impressive 35 minutes and 20 seconds. Congratulations, Hugo!
Staff and teachers were stationed along the course, cheering on students and providing encouragement every step of the way. The sense of community and resilience on display was truly inspiring.
Despite the rain, Vårlunken 2025 proved once again that our school spirit can’t be washed away by a little bad weather. Thank you to all the students, staff, and organizers who made the day such a success!
