Welcome to IESJärfälla!

At IES Järfälla we have high expectations of our students, both for their academic achievements and their social interaction with others. To do less would be an insult to them. We want our students to become smarter, better versions of themselves, better prepared to meet whatever challenges and opportunities life offers after their years with us.

Our school motto is Stronger Together because this task is too big for any one person. Teachers and mentors work together with the student care team, special pedagogues, support staff and the admin staff for the best of each individual. We have weekly meetings to discuss classes and to pass on concerns and report progress. Stronger Together also mirrors our goal of helping students become stronger academically and socially. We want them to gain all the skills and knowledge they can, while developing the character needed to handle both success and difficulty.

When it comes to statistics: 93 % of our teachers have teaching qualifications. and 99% of our students qualified for gymnasium last year. Half of the teaching is in Swedish, and half is in English and by the end of their time with us, students are bilingual.

On top of delivering excellent teaching in a safe learning environment, the staff organise clubs, football tournaments, trips, charity drives, discos, spirit days, aesthetics days, master chef competitions, assemblies, and other fun events.

We have a close and trusting relationship with our students' guardians, enjoy meeting them, and working together with them for the best of their child and the whole school.

We enjoy what we do, and value the time we have with our students and the relationships we build with them, and are always proud and sad to see them leave at the end of grade 9.
