IES Järfälla Takes Home Second Place at Regional Language Finals
On March 18th, Year 9 students Loke Hedman and Sonja Östling represented IES Järfälla at the regional finals of the International Language Competition, a prestigious event that celebrates modern languages, English, Swedish, and cultural knowledge. The competition, held at Nacka gymnasium, brought together top schools from across Stockholm, including Adolf Fredriks, Mörby Skola, IES Täby, IES Kista, and IES Eskilstuna. Loke and Sonja competed in French, tackling challenging questions on grammar, reading, and listening comprehension.

Their hard work and dedication earned them an impressive second-place finish in the competition. The International Language Competition is organized by Mundolingue in collaboration with the Southern Swedish Chamber of Industry and Commerce. It aims to encourage students to deepen their knowledge of languages, cultures, and global issues.
