IES Järfälla Secures Podium Finish at Regional Language Finals
On March 19th, Year 9 students Louise and Juliette represented IES Järfälla at the regional finals of the International Language Competition, a prestigious event celebrating modern languages, English, Swedish, and cultural knowledge.
Continuing the school’s tradition of linguistic excellence, Louise and Juliette competed in the French category against top schools from across the region. The competition, held at Nacka gymnasium, tested their mastery of grammar, reading, and listening comprehension through a series of rigorous rounds.
Their impressive performance earned them a third-place finish, a testament to their hard work and dedication to mastering the French language.
The International Language Competition is organized by Mundolingue in collaboration with the Southern Swedish Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The event aims to inspire students to deepen their understanding of global cultures and complex international issues through language.
