Fotbollströjefredag 2025
On May 9th, our school proudly took part in Football Shirt Friday, joining students and teachers across Sweden in wearing our favourite football jerseys, not just to show team spirit, but to support something far more important: the fight against childhood cancer.
Every day, a child in Sweden is diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to research and support, 85% of those children survive. But 15%, the equivalent of two full school classes every year, still don’t make it. That’s a number we cannot accept. Football Shirt Friday is about raising awareness and showing solidarity with the children, families, friends, and school communities who are affected.
At our school, we know how important it is to stand together. Whether you wore a shirt from your favourite club, or simply dressed in your team’s colours, you were part of something bigger. Because on this day, it doesn’t matter what team you support, we're all on the same team, against childhood cancer.
Football Shirt Friday is also a reminder that the fight continues every day, not just on May 9th. Schools are a vital part of the support network for children battling cancer, and we are proud to play our part.

Together, we can make a difference. Let’s keep spreading the word, raising awareness, and showing that no child or family faces cancer alone.
