A Sunny Welcome Back to School at IES Hässelby Strand!

Last week, our schoolyard was filled with bright sunshine, big smiles, and fantastic energy as we officially welcomed all of our students back for the start of the new academic year. From morning fika to class introductions, it was a wonderful first day of school!

The morning kicked off with a festive atmosphere as students arrived on campus. To celebrate the first day, we greeted everyone at the entrance with a delicious fika of juice and cookies, giving students and staff a chance to catch up and start the term on a sweet note.

A Warm Welcome for Our New Year 4s

It was a particularly special morning for our incoming Year 4 students starting their journey at IES Hässelby Strand. Our Principal, Ms. Bertsdotter, greeted the new students and their families outside in the sunshine.

While our Head of Year 4 guided the excited new students to their mentor classrooms to meet their classmates, Ms. Bertsdotter accompanied guardians upstairs to the Aula for an introductory information session.

Setting the Stage for a Great Year

Students in all other grade levels were also greeted with morning fika before heading to their respective mentor classrooms. The rest of the day was dedicated to a special Mentor Day, allowing students to connect with their mentors, review the exciting year ahead, and settle into their school routines in a supportive environment.

We are super happy to have all of our students back in the building and super excited for everything this upcoming school year has in store. Welcome back, everyone—let’s make it an incredible year!
