MAYhem Begins: Students Compete for Trip to Jumpyard

This May, our school has introduced MAYhem, an intensive month-long House competition for years 4–8. With challenges every Wednesday and themed dress-up Fridays, students have the chance to earn vital points for their Houses and win an unforgettable trip.

The House system is a cornerstone of the IES experience, fostering a sense of belonging and healthy competition. This month, we are taking it to the next level with our MAYhem event. To ensure a level playing field, all House points have been frozen, and every House starts May with zero points.

Every Wednesday, our years 4–6 students will face off in challenges during their break times. For our older students in years 7–8, challenges will take place at various times both inside and outside of the classroom. These activities are designed to test teamwork and perseverance.

In addition to the Wednesday challenges, every Friday is "Dress-up Friday." Each week features a different theme, giving students another creative way to contribute to their House’s success.

The stakes are high. At the end of May, the points earned during MAYhem will be tallied and the House that emerges victorious will be rewarded with a trip to Jumpyard on Mentor Day.

We look forward to seeing which House shows the most dedication and school spirit this month!
