Friendship Week Celebrates Community and Global Ties
Friendship week at IES Hässelby Strand recently brought students together through kind gestures and global connections, concluding with a vibrant twin day dress-up event.
The recent friendship week at our school focused on fostering a supportive environment and celebrating the diverse backgrounds of our students. Students participated in several activities designed to encourage kindness and school spirit.
One highlight was the friendship bingo challenge. Students received a bingo card filled with positive actions and small gestures of kindness to complete throughout the week. Those who finished their cards earned house points, contributing to their team's success.
In the recreation room, a "love map" allowed students to use pins to mark locations across the world where their loved ones live. This activity highlighted the international nature of our school community and the many places our families call home.
The week concluded on Friday with a "twin day" dress-up theme. Both students and staff participated with great enthusiasm, arriving at school in matching outfits to demonstrate solidarity and friendship
