One School, One Roof: An Exciting New Chapter for IES Gävle!

We are thrilled to share some monumental news regarding the future of our school! Starting in August 2026, Internationella Engelska Skolan Gävle will be unifying our campus, bringing all students and staff together under one roof.

Where and When?

Beginning with the Autumn 2026 term, our entire school community—from Year 3 through Year 9—will be based at our existing senior building located at Södra Sjötullsgatan 3.

Why are we making this move?

Our primary goal is to elevate the daily experience for everyone who walks through our doors. By unifying our locations, we are focusing on:

• A High-Quality Environment: Consolidating our resources into one location allows us to invest more effectively in the physical school environment, ensuring top-tier facilities for all year groups.

• Enhanced Collaboration: Bringing our talented staff together will foster better communication and professional synergy. This teamwork is the engine behind the ongoing development of our educational programs.

• A Stronger IES Culture: We are excited to offer a smaller, more intimate school setting. This "one roof" approach allows us to strengthen the unique IES values and school spirit that make our community so special.

Looking Ahead
