Students at IES Eskilstuna Develop Reading Skills in the Library

Reading is a top priority for our students at IES Eskilstuna as they begin every Monday morning with dedicated time in the library to build confidence and imagination.

At IES Eskilstuna, we believe that reading matters deeply. It builds confidence, sparks imagination, and supports learning in a relaxed, positive space. To foster these skills, every Monday morning begins with our students visiting the library.

Accompanied by their mentor and head of year, students enjoy peaceful, dedicated reading time. There is no better way to start the week than in a safe and calm environment where minds can wander and grow.

Key benefits of the Monday reading programme:

  • Reading Skills: Students develop literacy and focus in a supportive setting.

  • Safe and Calm Start: The library sessions provide a quiet atmosphere to begin the school week.

  • Mentor Support: Students are joined by their mentor and head of year to encourage a shared reading culture.
