IES Enskede Celebrate The Stockholm SkolDM Victory

What a fantastic football day for IES Enskede! During the Swedish Stockholm SkolDM on 24 September, our students delivered a series of strong performances – ending the day with a repeated final victory.

The Boys Year 8/9 team who is combined with a number of our students who also won the SkolDM last year, once again put in an impressive performance. They went unbeaten throughout the group stage, recording victories against Sjöängens Skol IF, Hagaskolan, Engelska skolan Novia and Edsbergsskolans Skol IF. In the semi-final, the team defeated Grimstaskolan UV 5–0, before winning a closely contested final against Alviksskolans Skolidrottsförening 5–3.

In the Boys Year 6/7 category, IES Enskede got off to a flying start. The team won all four of their group-stage matches, including a 6–0 victory against Hagsätraskolans IF, a 5–0 win against Knutbyskolan and a 6–0 win against Grimstaskolan UV. In the semi final, IES Enskede faced Solhemsskolan Skol IF and secured a 3–0 victory to set us up in a final against Aspuddens Skola. Unfortunately this match wasn’t to be and we lost to them 3-0.

IES Enskede also enjoyed success in the younger girls' categories. The Girls Year 6/7 team opened the tournament with victories against Gillbo-Gröndalskolans IF and Solhemsskolans Skol IF.

For our Girls Year 8/9, the team recorded one victory and one draw in the group stage, including a 0–0 draw against Sjöängens Skol IF and a 5–2 victory against Bergtorpsskolans IF Futuraskolan.

A huge congratulations to all the students who represented IES Enskede! These results are a fantastic reflection of their teamwork, commitment and fighting spirit – both on and off the pitch.

We are very proud of you!
