IES Enskede Crowned Champions at Handball Skol-DM!
We are incredibly proud to announce that our Year 6 handball team recently competed in the Stockholm Skol-DM, bringing home the gold in the Junior category!
Competing against 10 schools from across the region, our team showed exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the tournament.
The Road to the Final
The competition began with a challenging group stage. Out of five schools in our pool, IES Enskede emerged on top with three wins and one hard-fought draw:
- IES Enskede vs. St Pers Skola: 8–4 (W)
- IES Enskede vs. Noblaskolan: 6–5 (W)
- IES Enskede vs. Mälarhöjdens Skola: 7–5 (W)
- IES Enskede vs. Grimstaskolan UV: 6–6 (D)
The Knockout Stages
After securing 1st place in the group, the team moved into the playoffs with incredible momentum:
- Quarter-Final: A dominant 10–2 victory against Backahagens Skola.
- Semi-Final: A nail-biting rematch against Noblaskolan, where our students held their nerve to win 5–4.
- The Grand Final: Played on a full court against Mälarhöjdens Skola, our team rose to the occasion with a brilliant defensive and offensive display, securing a 6–1 victory to take the title!
