Latest from the IES Enskede Chess Club

It has been an incredibly successful season for our chess enthusiasts! From record-breaking tournament runs to strong individual performances, the IES Enskede Chess Club continues to prove that strategy and focus pay off.

Knight Squad Charges into the Top 16

Our Year 6 team, Knight Squad, has officially made it through to the fourth round of the prestigious Yes2Chess tournament. Out of more than 300 competing teams, they have secured a spot in the Top 16—the best result our club has seen since its founding in 2024. Furthermore, they are the last remaining IES team in the Year 6 category.

A massive congratulations to our stars in Year 6!

Overall Yes2Chess Results:

• Top 16: 1 team (still competing!)

• Top 64: 3 teams

• Top 128: 1 team

• Participation: 2 teams

Success in "Schack i skolan mästarna"

Last week, students from Years 4–9 competed in the first round of Schack i skolan mästarna. The results were impressive, with 12 of our students ranking in the Top 20 for their respective age groups.

We look forward to the upcoming rounds and hope to see several of our players qualify for the grand tournament in Jönköping this June!
