Sports Day at IES Årsta

IES Årsta recently enjoyed an exciting and energetic Sports Day, planned and facilitated by our Year 9 students.

As part of their leadership and teamwork responsibilities, each Year 9 group designed and organized a variety of sporting activities for younger students to enjoy throughout the day. Their careful planning and enthusiasm helped create a fun-filled event that kept everyone active and engaged in the sunshine.

Students rotated through a range of activities, including football, capture the flag, tug of war, volleyball, relay races, and many other team challenges. The activities encouraged cooperation, sportsmanship, and friendly competition while giving students the opportunity to spend time outdoors and stay active.

The Year 9 organizers took charge of setting up equipment, explaining rules, managing teams, and ensuring that each activity ran smoothly.

The warm weather added to the excitement as students cheered on their classmates, celebrated achievements, and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with each other.

Sports Day was a great success, and we would like to thank all Year 9 students and the PE department for their hard work, creativity, and commitment. Their efforts helped make the day memorable for the entire school community.
