These three young technology enthusiasts – Liam, Elsa, and Hedda – form the Swedish delegation in the Enjoy AI Global Final, a prestigious competition focused on developing children’s skills in technology, programming and problem-solving. The competition aims to inspire children to become active creators of technology.
This year's theme, Cyber City, requires the students' robots to be programmed to solve complex tasks on a track, such as delivering plants and adjusting solar panels. A key component of the competition is the participants' ability to quickly adjust their solutions when mission conditions change, training them in adaptability – a critical skill for the future job market.
Neil Duncan, principal of IES Landskrona, emphasises how this achievement reflects the school's core values:
"We are immensely proud of Liam, Elsa, and Hedda's success and teamwork. Their journey to China is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when you combine high academic expectations with a safe and stimulating learning environment. IES is all about preparing students for the world, and this competition gives them invaluable exposure to global collaboration and advanced technology."

The final will be held on 5–7 December 2025. The students are travelling with support from the STREAM Scandinavia Association, which organises the competition in Sweden. The association has received government funding from the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) to support the trip. Link to the global final: https://www.enjoyaiglobal.org/
Enjoy AI was first organised in Sweden in 2023. This year, the event was held in collaboration with Sjöbergska huset in Malmö. Children in western Skåne train with the support of technology educators and engineers.
