Fire in IES Karlstad woodcraft building
This morning we all woke up to the sad news that a fire had broken out in the woodcraft building during the night. Most importantly, nobody was hurt.
The building where woodcraft is located is one of seven buildings on campus and we are very grateful for the swift response by the fire brigade who managed to limit the fire to that one building. The fire has been put out but the fire brigade are still on site to secure the premises.
We are working in close dialogue with the local authorities and the property owner to be able to provide support where it is needed, so that students and staff can return to school in a good way next week.
