About our school
Campus
At IESÖ there is a closed campus. Recess and breaks are filled with activities supervised by adults to make sure our campus is safe
The school is encircled by fencing to help students identify the campus area that they have access to. The fencing is also there to indicate to others where the school yard begins.
It is our policy that the only people on our schoolyard or inside, are either our students or staff.
Break times including lunch and other pauses in the day are when we encourage our students to go out and play or socialise on the school yard. The students will also be able to be in the various recreation areas inside the school. All of these areas are supervised by staff. The school staff both look out for the students as well as lead them in activities.
These activities could for example be something organised by one of the Houses or by the school. Everything from jump rope games, free throw competitions, to round robin ping pong or a pick up football game, chess, music lounge or reading circles.
The activities and the environment on break time for the students of all ages will always reflect the interests of our students and is overseen by staff on duty.
