Safety Statistics

The results are in, and over 85% of our students say they feel safe at school most, if not all, of the time! While we recognize that there is always room for improvement, we are thrilled that so many of our students already feel secure in their learning environment—our top priority.
When asked why they believe the school fosters such a safe atmosphere, a Year 5 student responded simply:
“Because there are nice students, nice teachers, and we actually understand the lessons. When we don’t understand a lesson, that’s when bad things start to happen.”
At IES Norrtälje, teachers are committed to creating lessons that incorporate various forms of engagement, “Using different teaching techniques and checking for understanding”—one of the “10 Must-Haves” that all educators follow here.
A Year 7 student also shared their perspective, emphasizing the school’s welcoming atmosphere:
“The school is so lively and friendly. Of course, fights happen sometimes, but knowing that students and teachers are always here to support us makes a big difference and helps us feel safe.”
Creating a secure and supportive learning space is a collective effort, and we are proud to see our school community thriving in this regard. Together, we will continue to foster a positive and safe environment for all!
