The purpose of the eTwinning project on self identity is to collaborate with peers from eTwinning partner schools (Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Norway) on an art project initiated by Angélica Dass called Humanae
Students will draw a self-portrait and mix paint to match their skin colour to celebrate the spectrum of the skin colour and diversity. Afterwards, students explore their identity through writing a “found poem/blackout poem.” We will post the portraits and “found/blackout poems” where students can read, leave positive feedback and reply to one another on the work. For those schools that are able to meet, an additional online meeting will take place where students can meet each other, read their poems and reflect on what they learned in the experience. Our work will be showcased in an interactive exhibition about exploring self-identity at Linköping Stadsbibliotek between February and March of 2025.
