Erasmus news: eTwinning project by Lina in 7C

Exploring NASA's Climate research initiatives connected to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Climate Action.

What did we do?

Last year, we participated in an Etwinning project , which was about NASA’s discoveries about how climate changes happen, how they affect us, what factors humans have contributed to, what climate change is, how they occur and how we could prevent them from happening.

We made our own website  (https://sites.google.com/d/1j7lDLxqE3uouKaO2AsNf00DA9fwb60kx/p/18KJMqfbf1Adv0csfh16pbL52xmiUHtBB/edit?pli=1  )  and there you can find more information in more depth about the project that we worked on. We also made a Kahoot about different keywords and several questions that we had used and worked with throughout the project. We didn’t really get the opportunities to interact with the students from the French school that much — due to schedule differences and communication issues.

What were our goals with the project?

Throughout the project, we built up different goals and ideas that we wanted to work with. But we didn’t really have the same goals as the French students. The project that we worked with and the main goal for us was that we wanted to have an understanding and to get a better knowledge on what climate change is and what factors lead up to the problems. Meanwhile, as we’ve understood it, the French students' goal was to build up their English vocabulary. We managed to complete our goal with the website — about various natural disasters.

Who Participated?

We cooperated with the school La croix Rouge from Brest, France. This project was pretty popular, and there were quite a few students from both schools that wanted to participate, but the students that took part in the project from our school were:

  • Niayesh Bina (6A)

  • Vidar Hammarström (6B)

  • Anna Vorotnikova (6A)

  • Peter Deák (6C)

  • Vijwal Thiruveedhi (6C)

  • Melisa Kadric (6B)

  • Martha Lottersberger Panza (6C)

  • Lina Abdelmajid (6A)
