Year 9 Graduation Ceremony Celebrates IES Class of 2026
The Year 9 Graduation Ceremony marks a significant conclusion to compulsory school at IES Jönköping. This memorable event celebrates the hard work, grit, and personal growth of the Class of 2026!
Bright smiles and bright futures: Alice, Aliyah, Jenna, and Emilia capture a special graduation moment together.
Behind the celebration lies years of hard work, continuous grit, and moments where these students truly dared to challenge themselves. But this journey has been about so much more than just academic excellence. These students have grown as individuals — learning what it means to be responsible citizens, supportive friends, and respectful human beings.
We want to thank all guardians for trusting IES Jönköping with your children's educational journey. A massive congratulations to our graduates – we are so proud of you! To celebrate your incredible journey, the evening naturally concluded with our traditional cap toss.

We also presented the Character Counts Award. This honour recognises students who consistently demonstrate the core values of our school culture, showing integrity, respect, and a positive mindset inside and outside the classroom:

The ceremony included an inspiring student speech from Raisa Lixandru and Bella Karlsson, who shared fond memories and encouraging words for the future. Rasmus Chapman provided a fantastic piano performance.

Our principal, Mr Varley, delivered the closing words of advice. He reminded the graduates to remember four essential principles as they move forward: running and reading, risks and relationships.
