Principal's Letter May 2026
Letter from the principal, May 2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are approaching the end of the school year and are starting to look forward to the upcoming graduation festivities and, of course, the highly anticipated Swedish summer.
Spring Term 2026
We can look back on a very eventful spring term with many positive moments—both in terms of teaching and learning, as well as extra-curricular activities that are so vital for personal development and building community spirit.
We celebrated Pi Day as usual with a student competition to see who could memorize the most decimals of Pi. The winner in Year 6 memorized an incredible 639 decimals and was rewarded with a fika alongside myself and the runners-up.
We are also immensely proud of our cricket team, who took home the victory in the very first school cricket tournament in Sweden, defeating five other IES schools. Wonderful!
Another highlight of the term was interviewing all the students (nearly 30 in Year 8) who applied to become School Prefects next year, taking part in the school's initiative to promote and develop leadership among our students.
Information regarding the National Tests
The National Tests are now completed for both Year 6 and Year 9. Unfortunately, Skolverket has noticed that parts of the Mathematics and Swedish tests were leaked on social media prior to the exam dates. We as all other schools are currently awaiting further information from Skolverket regarding the severity of the leaks and how this will affect this year's results.
Upcoming End-of-Term Events
During the final weeks before the summer break, there is a lot happening at school—especially for Year 9 with their various graduation celebrations, but also for all other year groups. Here are the key dates to remember:
