"It feels very good. We have been preparing for this for a long time and now we are ready to welcome all the students. It is particularly pleasing that we now offer places already from preschool class, which is new, says Desirée Ekendahl", Principal at Internationella Engelska Skolan Södra Änggården.

The development of the new district of Södra Änggården, where the school is moving, is well underway with residential areas, culture and commerce in the area that is today known as Högsbo in Gothenburg.

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a Swedish school with an international profile that strives to give as many students as possible the best possible education, in two languages, in an international, safe and calm learning environment. IES believes in high academic expectations and in every student's opportunity to succeed through strong relationships between student and adult and a calm and safe learning environment.

"I am proud that we can now offer an additional 400 students in the Gothenburg area an opportunity for a high-quality education. The new school is fantastic, but what I am most proud of is the work our staff puts in for our students every day. IES is a school where students and teachers work together, towards high academic goals, both in Swedish and English in a safe and calm environment," says Lars Jonsson, CEO of Internationella Engelska Skolan.
