Anyone can learn how to save a life
"Restart a Heart Day" takes place on and around 16 October each year. The day is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about cardiac arrest and helping people learn CPR, giving them lifesaving skills and the confidence to use them. Anyone can learn basic CPR skills and potentially save a life in the event of a cardiac arrest.
All schools within IES must be safe and secure for everyone who is inside our buildings and knowledge of CPR and first aid is therefore vital knowledge that we all need to have. To achieve this, the central student health offers training to become CPR instructors, where the goal is for all schools to have their own instructors with the task of training staff and students on a regular basis at their respective schools.
All instructors are part of the central student health network of CPR instructors and are offered opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience which can then be used in the work with CPR and first aid at the schools.
