It is great to be back!

After two years of many school opportunities being postponed, we are now able to start school trips and invite visitors into school.

The term is underway and both students and staff are settling in to our routines and expectations at IES Solna. Our new staff are enjoying getting to know their students and it has been a pleasure to welcome our new grade 4 students to our school. The grade 9 students enjoyed a week of PRAO and are now focused on their final year of grundskola. 

As we move forward with our school year I would like to remind you of our school’s goals:

Be the best we can be

Be safe/ feel safe

What’s on:

After two years of many school opportunities being postponed, we are now able to start school trips and invite visitors into school. Grade 4 and 5 students will be visiting naturskolan to complement their science curriculum. The election has provided us with exciting learning opportunities. Some classes have visited the “valstugor” in Solna centrum to speak to the politicians and a highlight for us has been the political debate held for the grade 7 - 9 students. All political parties were represented and students were able to listen and provide questions to the politicians. More trips and visits will support the learning of our students throughout the year.
