In a remarkable showcase of her literary talent, Rushita Dhamankar, a Year 5 student at IES Liljeholmen, triumphed in the Junior section of the IES National Writing competition. The competition, which saw participation from various IES schools across Sweden, showcased the remarkable talent and creativity of young minds. Interview with Rushita Dhamankar:

Q: What was the inspiration for your story?
Rushita: "I love getting lost in Jurassic Park, you know, the old and new movies. They're so cool! And then there's these game books, like Jumanji, where it's all about escaping. That's what got my story ideas flowing!"

Q: How long did it take you to write your story? Was it hard or easy?
Rushita: "Oh, it took me like forever! Well, okay, not forever, but almost three whole weeks! Starting was tough, you know, figuring out how to introduce my characters and such. But once I got going, it got easier. Well, kinda. It was still pretty hard, but I'm super happy with how it turned out!"

Q: Do you read a lot? Do you think that reading helped you in writing your story?
Rushita: "Totally! I'm a big reader. Books like Wings of Fire are my favorite! Reading helped me a lot with my story. It gave me ideas about what fantasy fans like and helped me imagine cool stuff for my own story."

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up? Do you think you would like to be a book author?
Rushita: "Hmm, well, when I grow up, I wanna be an architect. But being a book author sounds awesome too! I love writing and making up stories, so who knows? Maybe I'll do both! Architecture during the day, and writing stories at night, like a superhero or something!"

Rushita's triumph in the IES National Writing competition is a testament to her talent, dedication, and imaginative flair. As she continues to explore the realms of literature and beyond, her future shines brightly with endless possibilities. We eagerly await the next chapter in Rushita Dhamankar's journey, confident that she will continue to inspire and captivate audiences with her extraordinary gifts.
