After joining Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm as principal in 2005, Dr Margret Benedikz will be moving on to take up the position as Head of Sigtuna Humanistiska Läroverket on April 1, 2013.

During her time at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm Dr Benedikz has overseen the expansion of the gymnasium, moving the school from Enskede in 2008 to its current premises at Allhelgonagatan.

Educators from the UK and further afield heard from Ms Barbara Bergström, founder and chairman of Internationella Engelska Skolan, during The Guardian's Innovation in Education event.

Ms Bergström addressed all the delegates at the conference, in London, England, on the subject of What Makes An Excellent School.
