UK Expansion update
Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - 8:13pm
The bureaucratic paperwork is being compiled at present and Jodie King, UK Manager of Internationella Engelska Skolan, is working diligently as a business plan is placed together.
Business providers are being selected, an educational curriculum is being developed, specific to the UK, and Internationella Engelska Skolan is working closely with a parental freeschool group in the hope that soon we will be able to discuss school emblems, mottos and of course the implementation of the organisation's ethos in the heartland of old `Danelaw´.
Behind the scenes other managers are working hard to form links with educational groups and universities who will assist the organisation once established. A series of educational lectures and open house events are planned within the expected new school already for early 2012. Importantly, senior management from the mother company are in the UK this Autumn interviewing for a Principal and it is hoped and targeted that this new post will be filled in January 2012.
As we look to the long-term future, Ms King has already formed links with several other parental and charitable groups and in November 2011 Internationella Engelska Skolan i will attend the New Schools Network forum to attract other freeschool groups. Also in November, the founder, Ms Barbara Bergstrom and the CEO, Peter John Fyles, will meet once again with the UK's Education Minister, Mr Michael Gove, to emphasise our intentions to be successful across the water and hopefully to fuse further our establishment of over 20 years of experience of starting schools.
